- Maria da Conceição Fernandes, born in 1952, became known as Conceição "Shoemaker" in a tribute to her father. Following in the footsteps of her mother, the clay artist Lurdes Vigo, from a very early age she initiated herself in the clay arts, being known for its wide spread of colors, the voluminous and extravagant shapes and the glaze that gives them a unique splendor.
