- Maria da Conceição Fernandes, born in 1952, became known as Conceição "Sapateiro" (cobbler) in a tribute to her father. Following in the footsteps of her mother, the clay artist Lurdes Vigo, from an early age she initiated herself in the clay arts, being known for its wide diffusion of colours, the voluminous and extravagant shapes and the glaze which gives them a singular splendour.
